nice speakers, nice price, but VERY awkward on/off...
I got these speakers originally to use with my little bookshelf stereo in my office since one of its speakers has gone bad. I didn't want to get some new system with multiple little speakers and a big bass box - for my office, two speakers are plenty.
Pros:
- speakers sound great - and there are only TWO of them
- nice price (especially with a rebate
Cons:
- on-off switch is in a very very very awkward place on the back of one of the speakers where it is hard to reach
- adapter for interface to a "normal" stereo system is not very useful

Excellent sounding speakers!
I bought these speakers on recommendation from several magazine reviews and when I got them I was impressed at the sound quality and the bass that comes from only two speakers without a subwoofer.
Pros:
- Attractive Design
- Compact
- Easy To Connect
- Great Sound Quality
- Powerful
Cons:
- NONE

Review: Creative Gigaworks T40 speakers
The Gigaworks T40 is a standard set of computer speakers without a subwoofer. While we say 'standard', the excellent quality of sound from the T40 actually distances it some way from its competitors. The unit is easy to set up and use - it's a simple matter of plugging in the supplied cables.

Creative Gigaworks T40 review
The T40 is an upgrade to the T20, reviewed in What's New, Shopper 220. It has the same subwoofer-less design, but it increases the power rating from 14W to 28W and uses three cones per speaker to produce more volume.

Creative GigaWorks T40 Speakers
Creative offers an impressively wide range of PC, iPod, and multimedia speakers -- at least 20, by our count. But we were drawn to the company's GigaWorks T40, a set of unusually tall (320mm) stereo PC speakers that retail for less than AU$160.
Pros:
- Stylish mini-tallboy PC speaker with high-quality dual midrange drivers
- Easy access to volume
- treble
- and bass controls
- Headphone jack
- Provisions for optional iPod dock
Cons:
- May be too tall for some tastes
- Rear power switch and overly bright power light mar an otherwise slick design
- No option to add subwoofer

Creative GigaWorks T40 Review
Creative's latest desktop computer speakers are tall and thin, leaving more room on your desk for the mess that naturally accumulates. They're aimed at the high end of the budget market, with a list price of $149.99 USD (or around $120 at Amazon), putting them into the arena with beefier models like...

Creative Gigaworks T40 review
We're big fans of the Gigaworks T20 speaker set, and very familiar with it, so it was amusing when the T40 arrived having sprouted an extra midrange cone on each speaker, like some kind of sonic mutant. And, as with the T20, the midrange is definitely where this set excels.
