Dragon Quest Builders Review
Dragon Quest is celebrating a major milestone in 2016 for its 30th anniversary, with the series spawning plenty of different games over the years. Outside the mainline games, the series has tackled a number of other genres like last year's Dragon Quest Heroes.
Pros:
- Dragon Quest charm
- Easy to use control scheme
- Freedom to build
Cons:
- Combat too simple
- X button usage

This game has many challenges and adventures. It is a long lasting game, and you can build what you want.

Dragon Quest Builders review – building on Minecraft's success
A surprisingly successful mash-up between two completely different franchises, whose quiet charms offer a welcome alternative to incessant action and overbearing storytelling.
Pros:
- The Minecraft elements are neatly explained, and offer a significant amount of freedom for a story-base game
- Charming script and characters, and some fun twists on the usual JRPG formula
Cons:
- Compared to Minecraft there are some obvious limitations, especially when digging underground
- Camera isn't always that helpful
- Dragon Quest in-jokes will be lost on many

Dragon Quest Builders [PS4] review: one of the most delightful games you'll ever play
It's easy to see that Dragon Quest Builders has received a lot of love and attention from developers. The game oozes cuteness around every corner (or block). Apart from a few niggles, it's a game that really should be in your collection.

"Great game"
This is a great game. Like that it has open world battling and allows players to be creative when designing the city and completing building quests.

Hated Minecraft, Love this
One of the main things i hated about minecraft is that there was no story or purpose other then to build things mindlessly. This game has a story so it feels rewarding to build your town, help the people of the land, and defend your town against monsters!

Pros:
- A fantastic sandbox experience with just enough direction to justify a huge time investment
Cons:
- The combat is a mess and you do far too much of it for the game's own good

Though it has some flaws, Dragon Quest Builders shows how a good story mode can really be implemented in this building genre. The boss battles are mostly fun (with a few exceptions, such as the second boss), quests make your buildings have meaning and a plot, although simple, really makes the game...

Dragon Quest Builders' sandbox crafting gameplay mixed with classic JRPG mechanics results in a fun gameplay experience, but the omission of multiplayer is disappointing.
