Dragon Quest Builders Review
is totally, thoroughly engaging. Its gameplay is accessible to kids while its dialogue offers enough sly references to keep Dad or Mom amused. Collecting, crafting, and building all sounds familiar, but this package encapsulates so much of the best parts of this creative process and wraps it in...

Dragon Quest Builders Review – a DQConstruction (PS4)
I have never played an ounce of Minecraft , and I've never had any desire to do so. My eldest son, who's eight years old, is absolutely obsessed with it. He builds some amazing things, and it really taps into that creative mind he has for architecture and construction.
Pros:
- Charming Dragon Quest visual style
- Fluid combat
- Deep crafting system
- Minecrafting with a purpose
- Dragon Quest
Cons:
- Odd glitches with room building
- Camera does not like enclosed spaces

PS4 Review - 'Dragon Quest Builders'
Dragon Quest Builders is a Minecraft-like, open-world action/RPG where you are tasked to rebuild the Alefgard Kingdon, which was destroyed by Dragonlord.

But perhaps that's just an issue that someone like me, the Lego-perplexed and Minecraft -averse will run into. It's worth it, though, to finally experience joy in creating and crafting. I just needed a little guidance and a reason to build.

Dragon Quest Builders Review – Building a Gem for the Switch
The Switch handles Builders fairly well, although sometimes the control scheme can get a little hairy. Moving the character with the left stick then trying to select items with the left butttons isn't always comfortable, and the camera sometimes misleads me on where I'm dropping an item.
Pros:
- Great new approach to Minecraft
- Quirky Dragon Quest humor and music
- Handheld mode IS THE BEST
Cons:
- Camera sometimes doesn't cooperate
- Controls can get uncomfortable at times
- No auto-saving
- which can be a game killer

Dragon Quest Builders review
Years ago Minecraft's original designers felt compelled to add a story to their sandbox hit, in order to impose some kind of formal structure to the playpen. The reward for completing that somewhat tepid storyline was some poetry, written by the Irish novelist Julian Gough.

Dragon Quest Builders
Moving the Dragon Quest franchise into the realm of sandbox Minecraft style gameplay Dragon Quest Builders offers a uniquely satisfying adventure that bridges the RPG with the sandbox genre. Set in the same universe as the original Dragon Quest series (Alefgard) with the world inhabited by a la...

- Great blend of RPG and sandbox – Feeling of progress as your ruins turn into a town
Cons:
- Controls and camera have some issues – Lacks multiplayer

"Sure, there's some problems here and there that could use some tuning, but DQB is one of the most interesting and unique titles I've played in a long time." © 2016 Square Enix. All rights reserved.
Pros:
- A fantastic sandbox experience with just enough direction to justify a huge time investment
Cons:
- The combat is a mess and you do far too much of it for the game's own good

Hated Minecraft, Love this
One of the main things i hated about minecraft is that there was no story or purpose other then to build things mindlessly. This game has a story so it feels rewarding to build your town, help the people of the land, and defend your town against monsters!
