Intellishred SB-99Ci Shredder - a Great Machine
The Intellishred SB-99Ci Shredder is a fantastic shredder. I am in the process of clearing out old files, so it has been used quite often and continuosly. It has handled the job extremely well. The size of the basket is great compared to other shredders that I have used in the past.
Pros:
- This shredder is very quiet
- it is impossible to jam
- and the features are fantastic
Cons:
- I have not found any weaknesses for this product

Shredder SB-99Ci is GREAT!
I wanted a shredder with a windowed bin and one that would accept clear waste bags, but with a bin full indicator we are using regular kitchen bags now (much cheaper). Too bad that the window is really nothing more now than something to rip open an overstuffed bag.

Cons:
- Don't bother to overfill the bin, it just makes a mess
- When it indicates it is full, it means it
- You can shred a couple more items by sliding your hand in and shoving material over from under the teeth, but you will tear the bag upon removal if it's overstuffed.

Powerful shredder
Got it a few months ago and quite happy with it. I had so much bills and papers accumulated over the years and if not for this machine, I would still be shredding! It is performing as advertised in the manufacturer's product video.

Fellowes 99CI Design Flaw
First off let me say I've been in Engineering for over 30 years and I know a design flaw when I see it. The 99CI has a 9 gallon waste bin but you won't be able to fill it up past 3-4 gallons before the filled sensor is tripped and shuts down the shredder. It's happen to me 10 times in a row.

Product shreds/works well but disappointed in the quality of the drawer that receives the shredded paper as it is flimsy and cheap.

Quiet and efficient but shredded paper can fail to fall off the blades.
This shredder is much quieter and more efficient that my earlier one. Once in a while it flashes a light showing that the basket is full. Don't believe it. Open in and pull the shreds loose that have not fallen off the motor, and block the sensor, I hope this is not a permanent behavior, but just an...

Rugged machine
This is our second machine. The first on lasted for about 6 years and started having minor problems with jamming. Overall it lasted for about 7 years before we needed to buy a new machine. Near the end of it's life cycle, we had to cut down to about 5 sheets of paper in order for it not to jam.
