Sweet Little Lens
I just purchase the Fuji X-T2 with this lens, and I am blown away by its sharpness. Here is an image I shot handheld 23mm, F2.0, 800 ISO, 1/40 second on the X-T2. The image has edge to edge sharpness. Its just as good as my Canon L lenses for much less money.

It\'s the only fast 23mm Fuji lens, so there is no other choice. I found the lens soft at the center and very soft at the edges wide open, which is where you want to shoot it, otherwise you would have had 23/2.
Pros:
- f/1.4
Cons:
- soft
- slow focusing
- aperture ring easy to bump
- expensive

Fujifilm XF 23mm f/2.0 R WR
The 35mm (23 mm APS-C) focal length hasn’t always been one of my favorites for everyday shooting in years past. I’ve always preferred a wider 24mm-28mm for landscapes and travel or a tighter 50mm for street photography and portraits.

FUJIFILM FUJINON XF 23mm F2 R WR Lens review
Because it covers a ‘normal’ visual perspective and is relatively affordable for a medium format lens, the GF 63mm f/2.8 R WR is likely to be one of the first lenses chosen when photographers buy into Fujifilm’s medium format system.

FUJIFILM FUJINON XF 23mm F2 R WR Lens review
The XF 23mm f1.4 LM WR outperforms its predecessors to become the best overall mild-wide-angle lens Fujifilm has produced for the X-system to date. It delivers pin-sharp details across the frame, wide-open and at both near and far distances.

Fujifilm XF23mm F2 R WR lens review
The Fujifilm XF 23mm F2 R WR is a very compact wide-angle lens for Fujifilm X-mount cameras, delivering a 35mm full-frame equivalent field of view. With an F2 maximum aperture, it's a bit slower than other X-mount prime options at the same focal length, but in exchange, it's much smaller and lighter than the competition, making it a great walkaround or travel option. The lens captures a lot of detail and has virtually no distortion, though shooting subjects close up and wide open can produce slightly soft images. Bokeh is generally pleasing, albeit with some cat's eye effects. Some vignetting is visible at larger apertures, as well as some longitudinal chromatic aberration wide open.
Pros:
- Any application for which a smaller, lighter lens is desirable, including travel or street photography.
Cons:
- Photographers who would benefit from faster F1.4 apertures found on competing lenses
- photographers who want to take photos of subjects close-up with wide-open apertures.
