Fujifilm Fujinon XF 35mm F2 R WR Review
The Fujifilm Fujinon XF 35mm F2 R WR is compact, sharp, and sealed against dust and moisture. It's a terrific lens for the price. The Fujinon XF 35mm F2 R WR ($399.95) is the second 35mm prime for Fujifilm's mirrorless camera system. It's smaller and less expensive than the 35mm f/1.4 that launched with the system, and adds weather sealing to boot. It doesn't capture as much light as an f/1.4 prime, but the XF 35mm F2 is an optical gem, even when shot wide open. If you've got a Fuji X camera and are in the market for a standard-angle prime lens, it doesn't get much better than this one. It's an easy pick for Editors' Choice honors. DesignThe XF 35mm F2 is a small lens, even by mirrorless standards. It measures 1.8 by 2.4 inches (HD), weighs just 6 ounces, and supports 43mm front filters. A lens hood is included. It screws into the filter thread, so you will have to unscrew it to add or remove a filter. That's not a huge deal, and there is a bayonet mount around the outside of the lens. It's not out yet, but Fujifilm is releasing a metal hood that will mount on the bayonet, which will give you ready access to...
Pros:
- Compact
- Superb optics
- Weather-sealed design
- Aperture ring
- Inexpensive
Cons:
- Omits optical stabilization
- Must remove hood to change filters

FUJIFILM FUJINON XF 35mm F2 R WR Lens review
Because it covers a ‘normal’ visual perspective and is relatively affordable for a medium format lens, the GF 63mm f/2.8 R WR is likely to be one of the first lenses chosen when photographers buy into Fujifilm’s medium format system.

Fujifilm XF Fujinon 23mm f/1.4 R Lens Review
Sporting the same field of view as a 35mm lens does on a 35mm camera, this lens should be a popular choice for the wish list of many Fuji X-series camera owners, especially with that fast f/1.4 maximum aperture.
Pros:
- Extremely sharp stopped down
- Very good sharpness in the centre at maximum aperture
- Lightweight
- Useful hyperfocal scale
- Excellent build
Cons:
- Not as sharp towards the edges of the frame at maximum aperture as you may expect

Perfect walk around lens
Absolutely brilliant lens. Fast with excellent image quality across the frame and at all apertures. This lens creates a great perspective, and is ideal for travel and street photography. The fast aperture enables easy subject isolation and produces excellent bokeh.
Pros:
- Build quality

Fast lens to shoot hand-held in low light conditions
The Fujinon XF23mm F1.4 R is a fast prime for Fujifilm's X system of mirrorless cameras. It offers a moderate wideangle field of view equivalent to a 35mm lens on full frame. It has traditional aperture and manual focus rings, and the latter has distance and depth of field scales too.

This lens is fantastic!
Wow wow wow. Who'd have thought one of Fuji's cheaper lenses could be this good! It's actually amazing. Extremely sharp, super fast focus, small, lightweight, a great price and weather resistant. I would highly recommend this lens, you won't be disappointed!

Wow! A very special lens.
Although this wasn't a lens that I was in real need of - I already had a 35mm f1.4, but because I've heard so many rave reviews of this lens I decided to give it a go. I can confirm that this lens is absolutely superb on my X-T1.

This lens is what 35mm photography is all about...
I'm able to accomplish amazing things with just this one lens. The sharpness, rendering, and color delivered by this lens is something to behold. Distortion is very well controlled as well.
