Necessary accesory
It fits the scanner and protects it well, and that is probably the most important thing. If you have bought the scanner, you should also buy this.

Good scanner; setting it up is a nightmare
It comes with a CD & USB cable (my mac doesn't have either). There are NO instructions for setup without CD \ USB. In the end I was able to set it up with using their iPhone app, but it was really non intuitive and took more than an hour. Now that it works, I like it.

Fujitsu ScanSnap iX100 Scanner
I admit that the main reason I accepted this evening invitation was to see the view from the top of The Shard, sadly the 34th floor was the highest we got but this amazing portable scanner made up for the disappointment initially felt.

Fujitsu ScanSnap iX100
The Fujitsu ScanSnap iX100 ($229) is one of the most impressive portable document scanners we've ever seen, though it's off the mark in small ways. On balance, however, the good points-from small size to OCR accuracy-far outweigh any problems, making the iX100 our new favorite for portable scanning...
Pros:
- Portable
- Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct
- Scans with or without a computer
- Scans to smartphones and tablets so you can see scanned images immediately
Cons:
- If you scan business cards to your mobile device, there's no way to import them to the business card program later
- Simplex (one-sided) scans only

Fujitsu ScanSnap iX100 Review
The Fujitsu ScanSnap iX100 portable scanner lets you leave your computer at home and scan to a smartphone or tablet instead, making it easy to check scan quality on the spot. The Fujitsu ScanSnap iX100 ($229) is one of the most impressive portable document scanners we've ever seen, though it's off the mark in small ways. On balance, however, the good points—from small size to OCR accuracy—far outweigh any problems, making the iX100 ($193.85 at Amazon) our new favorite for portable scanning without a computer. Like the two scanners it replaces as Editors' Choice—the Visioneer Mobility ( at Amazon) and the Xerox Mobile Scanner —the iX100's strongest point is that it offers a good solution to the biggest problem with PC-free scanning. In all three cases, you can check the quality of each scan on your phone or tablet while you still have the original handy to rescan if necessary. Even better, you can use your mobile device to work with the file, email it, or upload it to the cloud without having to wait to get back to a PC. The Basics The iX100 is a convenient size and weight for a portable scanner at 1.4 by 10.7 by 1.9 inches (HWD) and just 14 ounces....

ScanSnap iX100 review

Most of us have had jobs and internships that required us to stand for hours at a time in front of massive, radioactive,...

Review of the Fujitsu ScanSnap iX100
Who needs a portable Wi-Fi scanner? You do, if you'd like to be able to open a drawer, pull out your scanner, and scan documents quickly with no wires or plugs to deal with. Or if you want to do your expense reports at the coffee shop. Or scan while sitting on the couch. You get the idea.
