Fujitsu ScanSnap SV600
Worked very well when scanning an old family heirloom, which had mimeographed sheets.

Already comes with SV600 scanner
This pad is useful. However, the SV600 scanner already comes with one. The felt material eliminates reflective glare from compromising scans, but it quickly becomes covered in dust and lint.

Fujitsu Image Scanner ScanSnap SV600
While this portable scanner might not be right for everyone, it's a superb choice for digitizing books and other large documents. This scanner sits upright and scans documents from overhead so you can position it over a large open book for example.

Less ideal for archive scan
3 sec to scan one copy, which is great. Smart enough to adjust the page, etc. But I still find there is a long way to go before the quality of the scan can be as good as a camera. Maybe I am asking too much of it.

Fujitsu's ScanSnap SV600 avoids the problems afflicting other contactless scanners by using a motorised head. Unlike products such as Kodak's sceyeX , the head doesn't overhang the scanning area and cast a shadow over it. There's much more to the SV600 than this, too.

Impressive...
NewEgg has this for almost $200 cheaper then most other sites. I have worked with Fujitsu Scanner at work for years and they are built for Quality and Volume. I had been looking for a Book / Magazine Scanning solution for some time, but did not want to spend $3000 on one. This fit the bill!
Pros:
- Small Footprint (Can put it anywhere!) - Quality of Scans! - Adobe Acrobat XI Standard Included (This will cost you $200 alone
Cons:
- Not many, but could use some tweaks to the Software and Surface Mat
- The Software is impressive overall, but it seems to have this "Apply to all" aspect to it
- For instance I was scanning a Magazine publication and it assumed the one page rotation.

Great for Scanning Books!
I use this scanner to scan pages from my textbooks, so I don't have to lug them around in my bag. The software flattens out the pages perfectly and I can access them all from my laptop or cloud account.
