No warranty on this unit, according to HP's website

Pros:
  • The printer appeared new and worked after I replaced one of the toners (read below)
Cons:
  • I did a test page after configuring it and there were huge blue streaks on the test page and on the subsequent pages that I tested with
  • I replaced the cyan toner and the problem went away.

I am bit shocked, that I can find the Printer for less - than the Maintenance Kit, that is required after about 30k of Pages. Therefore I ordered now a new Printer - instead of the Maintenance Kit. That's not very Green - but perhaps the Manufacturer needs to review their Spare Part Pricing then.

Product is big and heavy, well-made. Plugged it in, connected to ethernet, added the printer to MacOS, and thought we were good to go. Quickly discovered that a print job would take 5 - 10 minutes to start and once it completed, the printer was no longer on the network.

2nd One

Great fairly high duty professional printer. We've had the same model for 3 years and the cost to replace parts exceeded the cost of a new one so replaced it. We've been very happy with this unit - use for all our color printing - proposals, brochures, trade show materials.

HP Colour LaserJet Enterprise M553x review: New toner tech delivers the goods

A lot has been written about the wisdom, or otherwise, of HP's planned corporate split , putting enterprise hardware and services together under one brand while creating a separate company for PCs and printers.
Pros:
  • Excellent print quality at up to 40ppm
  • Up to 33% higher page yield per cartridge
  • Lower operating temperatures and reduced power requirements
  • Internal cartridge seals for clean maintenance
Cons:
  • High up-front cost of consumable replenishment
  • No Bluetooth connectivity

HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M553x Review

The HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M553x is fast, with features galore, a high paper capacity, and very good output quality. But some businesses might not want to pay the high price for more features than they need. As the flagship model in Hewlett-Packard's 500 series of workgroup color laser printers, the HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M553x ($1,199) is a formidable machine. Among its virtues are very good speed, voluminous standard paper capacity, Wi-Fi Direct and NFC connectivity, and above-average output quality. This goodness comes at a high price, though. If you don't need all the M553x's features, you may be better off getting a more economical variant that eschews what for many businesses may be overkill. Design and Features The M553x measures 22.9 by 18 by 18.9 inches (HWD), so you'll want to put it on a table of its own, and it weighs 73 pounds, so you'll need two people to move it. One of its two large paper trays is packaged separately, and you have to set the tray down first and then delicately align the printer on top of it until the printer snaps into place. The standard paper capacity for the M553x is an immense 1,200 sheets, split between two 550-sheet trays and a 100-shee...
Pros:
  • Fast
  • Above-average output quality across the board
  • Excellent graphics
  • 1,200-sheet standard paper capacity
  • Wireless Direct and NFC connectivity
  • PCL and PostScript drivers
Cons:
  • Pricey
  • Lacks 802.11 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth

"Enterprise," of course, means busy, or relatively high-volume-a whole lot of printing going on. When I wrote this, the M553dn was on sale for $200 off, or $599.99. In either case, a single-function printer would need to be special in one way or another to justify either price, but of course it's a...

HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M553dn

The HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M553dn ($599) leaves off a few of the extras found in the HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M553x -the new high-end model in the company's 500 series of single-function color laser printers -but it comes in at a much more moderate price.
Pros:
  • Fast
  • Above-average output quality across the board in testing

Great Printer

Still in the early stages, but I've used M551's and they're rock solid. I expect many years of printing from this model too.
