HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M553dn
The HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M553dn ($599) leaves off a few of the extras found in the HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M553x -the new high-end model in the company's 500 series of single-function color laser printers -but it comes in at a much more moderate price.
Pros:
- Fast
- Above-average output quality across the board in testing
- Excellent graphics
- 650-sheet standard paper capacity
- PCL and PostScript drivers
Cons:
- Display is a non-touch LCD

Great Printer
Still in the early stages, but I've used M551's and they're rock solid. I expect many years of printing from this model too.

I ended up having problems with this printer from the get go. When it did work, it worked great though, which was hardly ever. HP customer support was horrible. And there is little to no information on the internet about this model. I ended up returning printer and getting a refund.

Pros:
- Excellent print quality at up to 40ppm

- Lower operating temperatures and reduced power requirements
- Internal cartridge seals for clean maintenance
Cons:
- High up-front cost of consumable replenishment
- No Bluetooth connectivity

HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M553x
This classy, feature-rich printer is fast and cheap to run, and won't be beaten for its extensive print-management tools.
Pros:
- Great cloud printing functionality
- Excellent image quality
Cons:
- Inability to use cheaper alternative cartridges

Not a great HP printer for color images
I've always been pleased with HP printers, however this one does great on black and white text, but the color mix on images is very poor. Returning this one ;(

M553dn compared to what we owned in past OKI Color Laser Tabloid size printer, HP much quieter and prints faster. Down side lack of wifi connection. Over all so far, so good.
