Razer BlackShark V2 Pro headset review: White and light
The BlackShark V2 Pro is a great wireless headset - one that goes about its business pretty quietly and doesn't shout about itself, but which excels in all the ways that really matter. One hesitation in giving it a total clean bill of health comes where its price is concerned, with a $200 tag that would be so much easier to go for at $150, but sales and discounts will likely take care of that in time.- Easy to adjust
- Great microphone
- Very good sound
- Slightly hot on the ears
- Could feel lighter
Great sound quality and mic, bad quality control
This headset is great when it comes to comfort, battery life, audio quality and mic quality. But after using it for a few months ive noticed that there is something wrong with the left ear cup and speaker. The power button is super loose and you can hear it rattle around when you move your head, the left speaker is starting to crackle when hit with certain frequency and sound (usually voices). And it seems like something might loose in the left side as well because if i have the no sound coming through or very little and i move my head, it sounds like something is lightly rattling inside. Considering the price of these, id say its not a great deal with this issues just a few months in.
Razer BlackShark V2 Pro Review
The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro takes the BlackShark V2's excellent performance and makes it wireless, for a hefty premium. We were greatly impressed by the Razer BlackShark V2. The $100 wired gaming headset offered a comfortable fit, excellent sound quality, a fantastic mic, and accurate simulated surround sound. Razer now offers a wireless version in the BlackShark V2 Pro. It looks, feels, and sounds just as good as, if not a little better than, the wired BlackShark V2, just without the cables. However, at $179.99, it’s nearly twice as expensive as the BlackShark V2, and faces some stiff competition. Design The Blackshark V2 Pro looks and feels almost exactly like the Editors' Choice award-winning Blackshark V2, just without the wire. It has the same oblong matte black plastic earcups connected to the headband through Y-shaped struts made of stiff wire, with cylindrical mounts that let each cup slide freely up and down to adjust the fit. It has the same memory foam earpads wrapped in breathable fabric, and similarly memory-foam-covered padding on the underside of the headband with faux leather on the...- Powerful sound
- Excellent microphone
- Comfortable fit
- THX Spatial Audio works well
- Higher frequencies could be a bit more crisp
- Nearly twice as expensive as the wired version of the headset

For consumers with a love for competitive gaming, or those looking for a supreme level of audio quality for further immersion, the Razer BlackShark V2 is a worthwhile proposition.- Solid and reliable build quality
- Excellent audio quality and noise cancellation
- Microphone is clear and great for competitive gamers
- Expensive compared to the base model
- Plastic parts of the design lack premium feel

Razer Blackshark V2 Pro (2023) Review
Although it's pricier than its wired sibling, the Razer Blackshark V2 Pro headset impresses with a comfortable build, spacious sound, great battery life, and reliable Bluetooth connectivity. The Razer Blackshark V2 ($99.99) has been one of our favorite wired gaming headsets for a few years, but the wireless version, the Blackshark V2 Pro (2020 model, $179.99), didn't appeal as much in part because of its much higher price. The newest iteration of the Blackshark V2 Pro costs even more at $199.99, but it adds Bluetooth connectivity, triples the battery life, and benefits from a more refined and detailed sound signature. It's much better all-around than its predecessor and earns our Editors' Choice award for midrange wireless gaming headsets.Light and Comfortable This headset is physically identical to the previous version, but it's now available in black or white. It's quite light at 11.3 ounces and its earpads use a soft memory foam material with breathable cloth covers. The underside of the headband also features ample padding, while the top sports a faux leather cover. This is all to say you shouldn't experience any comfort issues over long gaming sessions. ...- Crisp, clean sound
- Excellent microphone
- 2.4GHz and Bluetooth connectivity
- Long battery life
- No wired connection options
- Bass could be a bit more powerful
Razer BlackShark V2 Pro review: One of the best gaming headsets gets even better
The BlackShark V2 Pro (2023) is Razer’s most focused and most pricey e-sports headset, but its much-improved microphone, battery life, and dedicated EQ profiles make it worth consideration. The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro aims for function over form in almost every capacity, from its gaming-focused sound profiles to its new high-quality microphone to its lightweight yet long-lasting design. But the headset also adds some creature comforts in the form of a Bluetooth connection, which makes it compatible with everything from the PlayStation 5 to a 10-year-old iPhone. It’s an impressive update to an already-good design, and though it’s by no means cheap, it’s a solid value compared to similar models from the competition.- Comfortable
- Long battery life
- Pre-loaded EQ profiles
- Great microphone
- No notches on volume wheel
- Aggressive battery saving
Good all rounder
got this in exchange for another headset i didn't like and man it was worth it, well balanced sound nice and clear mic good battery life and nice and easy software
Worth the money!
This headset has amazing sound and so many features to edit the sound quality and even mic quality. I needed a new headset of my desktop and the wireless feature is a blessing. You can wear this headset for hours and have no discomfort at all. I would 100% recommend this headset if you're looking for something for multi-purpose.
Awesome sound, highly underrated
Pretty stoked I chose these. I'll say what the drawbacks are off the bat and thats that if it annoys you adjusting the EQ & settings through the Razer app on PC and having to charge with Micro USB then these might not be for you. But.. On the flipside they sound fantastic when adjusted and have good range, phenomenal sound actually. The battery is really good too, always seem to get over 20 hours so I dont need to charge often. It doesn't matter if Im using them on PC, PS4, PS5 or Switch, its as easy as just taking the dongle out and plugging it into USB. Top notch headset for someone with multiple devices and even better if you like to remove the mic & like a sleek black look
