Samsung Galaxy S22+ Plus (128GB, White) AU - Excellent review
Good news is that the Galaxy S22 Plus price is the same as last year at $1,000 for the base 8G/128GB model, while $50 on top of that gets you an 8G/256GB model and that seems like the optimal configuration.
Pros:
- Superb display, Beautiful design, Adequate battery life, Good hapitcs and audio quality, Okay performrance
Cons:
- Oversharpened photos, Noisy low-light image quality, Not very ergonomic, Marginal improvements over Galaxy S21 Plus, Gets hot during gaming and heavier load

Samsung decided to "Keep It Simple Stupid" with the Galaxy S22 middle-child.
Pros:
- Super bright display, Updated design, 4 years of promised Android updates!, Nice camera upgrades, 45W charging added, but not in the box, Pretty good battery life
Cons:
- Runs hot when using the camera a lot, or gaming, Still a large phone, FHD+ only at a grand, No charger in the box

While our review model came with a caveat of sorts, the Galaxy S22+ is still a nice phone, though it’s one that doesn’t really shake up the formula too much. Last year’s S21 was good , and this year’s S22 is good, too. But do they change much? Not really.
Pros:
- Lovely design that looks great and feels it, too, Beautiful screen, A day of battery life, Support for 5G, Water resistance, Wireless charging
Cons:
- No mmWave 5G, We weren't able to test 5G at all, Camera can be very slow to fire, The phone doesn't really change much, and can feel like a marginally updated version of the S21

Samsung Galaxy S22+ review: Playing it safe
The Galaxy S22+ is an exercise in refinement. It's more polished, but it doesn't exactly feel fresh. On one hand, this isn't surprising. The phone market is mature, and the days of big new features every year are long gone.

The Samsung Galaxy S22+ is a safe but welcome update to the middle of the family. This model may suit a great number of users - especially those who now don't feel drawn to the S Pen-wielding Ultra. The S22+ is capable in all areas, but it doesn't change hugely from the Galaxy S21+ that came before it.

The Samsung Galaxy S22+ is certainly the odd phone out of the Galaxy family. The base-level S22 is an attractive option if you’re looking to save a bit of cash, while the high-end ultra has all the bells and whistles for the big spenders. The S22+ sits awkwardly between the two, struggling to retain a strong identity all its own. Nevertheless, the S22+ is a fully-featured Samsung Galaxy phone with an impressive spec sheet to prove it, and it’s worth checking out. The S22+ is the overgrown twin of the S22. Unless you compare them side-by-side, the extra 0.5-inches of screen space isn’t going to be very noticeable, and visually there’s nothing else to distinguish the S22+.
