Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 review: The first foldable you may actually want to buy
With a lower price, 120Hz refresh-rate screen, an "aluminum armor" body and an improved cover screen, Samsung's new smartphone could be the most "normal" foldable available. When Samsung announced the Galaxy Z Flip 3, I was eager to try it out. You can fold it in half. Flip it open with your wrist one-handed. Use the outside screen when it's closed and place it just about anywhere you want to record videos and take photos. With its lower price, seven colors and the assortment of bold cases that make it look like a toy, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 could be the first foldable phone you'll consider buying. But if Samsung wants the phone to be widely adopted, it needs to deliver on its promised improvements and convince people that they can depend on the Z Flip 3 without compromising their daily phone routine.- Folds in half
- Water-resistant
- Attractive design
- Bigger cover screen
- Great main display
- Lower price
- Short battery life
- Cover screen still could do more
- Long-term durability unknown
- No dust-resistance rating

Works well. Samsung also provides the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G, the slimmer folding phone, with the improved mechanism of the Z Fold3. But not only the folding technology has improved, the hardware is also state of the art. Our review reveals what the complete package can do.- bright OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, system runs fast, water-resistant according to the IPX8 standard, good camera performance
- no storage expansion, only USB 2.0, battery life should be better

Samsung released two previous Z Flip models, but the second one really only added 5G to the first model. I spent months and thousands of dollars on the Galaxy Fold and then the Z Fold 2 , but never had the chance to even see a Z Flip model in person.- IPX8 water-resistant, Reasonable price, Beautiful foldable display, Functional cover display
- Cameras could be better, Not easy to open with one hand, Battery life isn't the greatest
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G (256GB, Phantom Black) AU - Pristine review
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 5G is the pinnacle of flip phone perfection. One that is eminently usable, pocketable, and has decent specs.- Significant improvement over the previous model, Excellent camera, Cover display is useful for dual preview selfie
- Unusual screen resizing behaviour on some apps and websites, No charger or buds inbox, USB-C 2.0, Barely a day's life with moderate use and slow charging, Big Trhottling issue
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G (256GB, Phantom Black) AU - Pristine review
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is much better than its predecessor in almost every respect.- Best foldable form factor combined with 5G, Snapdragon 888, IPX8 certification and 120 Hz refresh rate.
- Same camera as its predecessor, and otherwise it lacks optical zoom. Biggest problem, however, is the battery of just 3300 mAh, which has a hard time holding power for an entire day.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G (256GB, Phantom Black) AU - Pristine review
The Galaxy Z Flip3 is a unique phone with one goal: give you an ultra-compact foldable phone with as few tradeoffs as possible compared to a similarly priced “classic” Galaxy phone. And for the most part, it does deliver a near-identical compute performance and legacy functionalities.- Unique user experience, Awesome ultra-compact design, Excellent 120Hz display, Great compute performance, Unique user experience, Awesome ultra-compact design, Excellent 120Hz display, Great compute performance

Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip 3 is a flagship smartphone, and while it’s definitely not the most affordable phone on the market, its price tag is comparable to other high-end devices out there- It flips and that's cool, IPX8 waterproof, Larger useful Cover Screen
- The crease, Not-so-great battery, Unclear how durable this phone will be in the long run

The Galaxy Z Flip 3 got improvements in every area. From price to durability and everything in between.- Bigger & more usable Cover Display, Main Display is now 120Hz, Incredibly low $999 price, IPX8 rated for water resistant, More durable overall
- Battery life is not great, Cameras are just OK, Still very tall, slightly awkward to use
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 256GB Black SM-F711BZKEXNZ review
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is Samsung’s best shot at making a foldable phone mainstream in a meaningful way. It’s not outrageously priced – in fact, the phone costs less than the iPhone 12 Pro.
