I love the Galaxy Z Flip 3. There are drawbacks – battery and camera primarily, though durability is in there too – but Samsung has absolutely nailed the aesthetic and functionality of this form factor. If you don’t get the appeal of a foldable flip phone then this may not win you over – but if you’re tempted, then there’s really no need to wait any longer. This is the real deal, and it won't get much better.
Stunning design; Waterproof; Competitive pricing; Customisable colours;
No telephoto lens; Limited battery; Still some durability concerns;
Flip phones are officially back for good with Samsung’s third generation of the Z Flip, formally named the Galaxy Z Flip3.
Premium and well built design., Immersive and high-quality display., Impressive cameras and dynamic range.
Screen crease is visible from an angle., Battery life falls short of the competition., Plastic screen protector is prone to dust.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 5G is a Goldilocks of a smartphone that combines powerful hardware and a smooth foldable 120Hz main display into a fashionably slick and compact form design.

Battery life could be better
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3’s unique selling point is without a doubt its unique foldable clamshell design. If you find this to be very appealing, then the enhanced durability and attractive inner display might persuade you to buy one.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 5G is the pinnacle of flip phone perfection. One that is eminently usable, pocketable, and has decent specs.

When Samsung announced its first foldable phone in 2019, concerns were immediately apparent about its durability and practicality — not to mention the price. But in three years, the company has proven that its foray into foldables wasn’t just a once-off — and the improvements and strides made with...
I love funky smartphone devices. I was a huge slider fan with the Palm Pre. I still enjoy the feel of an old-school QWERTY from BlackBerry. So, when Samsung started the folding movement I’ve been intrigued from day one. I recently got a chance to review the Galaxy Fold 3 and came away impressed.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is much better than its predecessor in almost every respect.
Best foldable form factor combined with 5G, Snapdragon 888, IPX8 certification and 120 Hz refresh rate.
Same camera as its predecessor, and otherwise it lacks optical zoom. Biggest problem, however, is the battery of just 3300 mAh, which has a hard time holding power for an entire day.
