I wouldn't suggest it.
For the price tag (plus massive shipment cost) this was a pretty lack luster purchase. I feel like in most cases it's outperformed by my less expensive non-prime lenses.

Great Travel Lens for A6000
After looking around for a replacement lens for the Kit 55-210 I got with my NEX-5N I opted for the E18-105. I didn't need the length of the old kit lens (got a Sigma beast for that) but something more suitable for travelling with especially for landscape work.- Consistent Output
- Easily Interchangeable
- Sharp Focus

Excellent portrait shots - due to center sharpness. Stopped down to "normal" landscape apertures (F/5.6 - 8.0), delivers excellent colors. Nothing to complain, actually.- Range
- color rendition
- contrast
- build quality
- Not extremely sharp

Sony E PZ 18-105mm F4 G OSS Lens SELP18105G review
Adding power zoom to a lens seems like a good idea, especially to capture the interest of video-centric camera users; the problem here is that serious professionals currently using the FS100 and FS700 cameras don't have the benefit of in-camera distortion correction (hopefully this will be addressed...
