Makes me love the A6000 even more. Loved shooting fast primes with my Canon outfit and this lens took my a6000 to the next level. Use it as a walk around, much better than the kit lens that came on there.

Sony E 35mm F1.8 OSS Review
The Sony E 35mm F1.8 OSS lens offers a bright aperture and standard angle of view for capturing sharp images with a shallow depth of field. The Sony E 35mm F1.8 OSS ($449.99) is the company's standard-angle lens for its APS-C mirrorless camera system. The compact prime—it doesn't offer zoom—opens all the way up to f/1.8, so you can capture better shots in dim light and blur backgrounds behind your subject. It also sports optical stabilization, a plus for both stills and video. The only thing missing is weather protection, a feature that rival Fujifilm builds into its APS-C mirrorless lenses, but Sony reserves for full-frame glass. If you use a sealed camera, consider pairing it with the full-frame FE 35mm F1.8 ($749.99), but be aware you'll lose stabilization and pay a premium. Compact Standard Prime The E 35mm F1.8 OSS is a featherweight, measuring just 1.8 by 2.5 inches (HD) and weighing in at 5.4 ounces. It supports 49mm front filters, the same size used by many other of the lenses Sony sells for its APS-C mirrorless system. A reversible lens hood is included, along with front and rear caps. Some Sony bodies, i...

When you're first buying into a lens system, whether you're a newbie or a seasoned vet, you should look for an inexpensive prime lens. The kit zooms that come with most interchangeable lens cameras these days usually suffer from compromises in their optical designs, and don't do these cameras...

Sony E 35mm f/1.8 OSS SEL35F18
I bought this lens as an additional for the kit power zoom, and it delivers image quality way above the kit one. Although price may be a bit steep, i think it is still a good buy with OSS and relatively fast (f/1.8) aperture.
Pros:
- Silent and fast focusing
- PDAF supported
- Pleasing colours and contrast
- Stabilisation is reliable
Cons:
- Focus ring is a bit tough to spin
- Steep price

Great Lens, excellent in low light
Great lens for traveling and portraits and in low lighting. Only problem is that cases for Nex 6 cameras don't fit with this lens which is crazy since it is only slightly larger than the kit lens.
Pros:
- Easy To Use
- Lightweight
- Reliable
Cons:
- Doesn't Fit Camera Case

Photography at its simplest
Haven't fiddled with this lens too much yet, but the little I have, I'm impressed, and already planning more photo-outings with it. Attached to my NEX-6, this provides a package that is just fun to use, especially with the camera set to A (aperture priority).
Pros:
- Versatile fixed focal length
- great in low-light with no flash
Cons:
- Pricey
- slightly longer barrel than 16-50mm kit lens retracted
