Powerful antenna and good speed
I bought this wi-fi adapter specifically because my existing one was not getting a very good signal from my wireless router. It was not feasible to move the router or the computer, thus the need for a more powerful adapter. The minute I installed this wifi adapter the difference was obvious.
Pros:
- Easy to Use
- Features
- Performance
- Quiet
Cons:
- Expensive
- physically large
- not feasible to use with a laptop

Keeps Dropping Signal
I originally bought this in an attempt to not snake a Ethernet cable around my house to my HTPC but the dongle drops connections every five to ten minutes. I tried to troubleshoot it and the dang thing refuses to stay connected. Ended up snaking the cable after all.

TP-Link Archer T4U Dual-Band AC1200 USB Wi-Fi Adapter
Bought a handful of these last week and they provided a significant performance gain for my client's PC's previously only Wireless-N. Almost 10x the throughput. Highly recommended for quick, cost-effective wireless boost!

Quick and Simple Connectivity
I needed this as a quick replacement for a motherboard network connection that stopped working after a lightning strike. It was almost as simple as plug it in and start working. I didn't have much room in back of the desktop, but it was able to just fit in the space with the antenna at 90 degrees.

Solid AC Adapter
This is a great AC-class adapter, but the very nature of AC limits its usefulness. If you are in the room with your router, then you will enjoy a very fast connection. As you move further away and put walls between the adapter and the router, the connection speed quickly falls.
Pros:
- Nice appearance if somewhat large
- Glossy black finish
- Fast AC adapter connects at up to 867 Mbps on the 5 Ghz band
- Has USB version 3 connector and included USB3 extension cable
- USB v3 is the current standard and should be the default version on all quality networking equipment going forward.
Cons:
- Large adapter could potentially block access to a neighboring USB port on a laptop
- it does include an extension cable which could help in this circumstance. The glossy black finish isn't a big deal to me either way but it is a magnet for fingerprints and dust.

Easy installation
Installation of the adapter was easy and it works well. We do not have an AC router, so we could not test the higher speeds, but we got full performance through our B/G router. It seems like it will hold up over time. Overall a great product!

This adaptor out of the box is not configured for Windows 10. Unfortunately I didn't realise that for the first two times I installed, uninstalled and then installed again. I had to go the manufacturers website and manually install the driver / utility for windows 10.
