Great sound and volume but battery is terrible. After about 10+ hours charging, the speaker only lasts about an hour and a half and it dies. Not even at full volume does the speaker last long.

Chances are, if you're shopping for a Bluetooth speaker, you've probably heard of the original UE Boom , or at least you should have. It won us over with its unmatched style, powerful audio and battery performance – plus a ton of features, thanks to its companion app.
Brilliant design; Slightly improved sound; More robust feature set; Waterproof
Battery life isn't improved; Same price
Sounds better than expected, but obviously cannot compare to a proper sound system. Design is meh (not my type), but it's a minor complaint. Connection is quick and reliable, also very easy to set up.
I purchased two UE Boom 2. There is absolutely no instruction that come with them. I have an Apple 6s+ phone. I've tried both with and without app. Completely unable to pair both too work as one. Had to nephews here today to try as well. They both have UE's.
Absolutely Fantatsic purchase! Have used it multiple times in multiple different areas and it's been great every time! Superb sound and volume for a portable speaker.
Not that bad
Ultimate Ears' line of BOOM speakers recently got updated with the arrival of the BOOM 2 speaker. The BOOM 2 shares the same footprint as the original BOOM, but has been updated with a few nifty features. Among these is wake-by-bluetooth and stop/start/pause slapping capability.
Excellent sound quality speedy and efficient delivery.
Logitech subsidary Ultimate Ear's original UE Boom was widely celebrated as one of the best portable Bluetooth speakers you could buy. With the UE Boom 2, Ultimate Ears has iterated with a speaker that's better, but a little pricier.
Great sound quality for form factor; Long Bluetooth range; Light; portable design
Struggles with sub-bass frequencies; Slight distortion at higher volumes
Ultimate Ears has become more of a household name since its inception by then-Logitech (now just Logi), since releasing a variety of Bluetooth speakers to the market. The first UE Boom, released back in 2013, was one of the best small-scale portable speakers we'd ever heard, all things considered,...
Great 360-degree sound for this size; Decent battery life; Full-on waterproofing (now including ports; Colourful design; Stereo pairing possible; Great app with preset equaliser settings
Bass has its limits; Not dramatically different from first model; It's pricey; Would like more equaliser controls
