One of my first Gizmodo stories was about Logitech getting serious about design . It was published a few weeks after the company released the first UE Boom, which we would eventually decide was the best Bluetooth speaker you could buy.

Ultimate Ears Boom 3 and Megaboom 3: Our New Favorite Bluetooth Speakers Under $200
Ultimate Ears has been making some of my favorite Bluetooth speakers for years, and I'd argue that although the Boom 3 and Megaboom 3 aren't game-changing, they're definitely the company's best-sounding pure Bluetooth speakers. They look good and are dead simple to use.

We've been covering Ultimate Ears speakers for years. Their original BOOM speaker was great, and the evolution of those speakers, as well as the growing portfolio of designs in the lineup, continues to impress. Their latest, the UE MEGABOOM 3 is no different.

UE Megaboom 3 Bluetooth speaker review
REVIEW – The new Ultimate Ears (UE) Megaboom 3 was introduced a few months ago and since I have really enjoyed using the Megaboom , I wanted to give the Megaboom 3 a try. Were there any improvements Well, I think they did a great job in redesigning the Megaboom 3.
Pros:
- The Megaboom 3 has wonderful audio quality
- I love the new design: less silicone on the body of the speaker
- finer mesh fabric covering
- beautiful color
- easier access to micro-USB charging port
- It plays for a long time (~49 hours on low volume

Having a lot of trouble achieving a consistent connection with my iPhone 5s or phone watch. Haven't managed a reliable pairing with my boom 3 speaker either. It's like playing vinyl that jumps on the turntable. Gutted as the sound quality is excellent even in an out door riding arena.

This is my fifth UE product in the last few years and as always the build quality is great, the sound quality is excellent and the battery last me weeks with 1-2h of usage everyday. The only con is that the "daisychaining" mode is sometimes finicky to start between the speakers.
