The UE Megaboom looks to be Logitech's way of starting the year with a bang, as its latest speaker is a supersized version of the already-loud original UE Boom , yet promises to be even beefier. At £249.99 it's a fair bit pricier too - and is bigger always better? We fired one up to find out.
The UE Megaboom improves on the original in almost every way but at the sacrifice of portability and price. It can still be thrown into a big bag, and it's well worth a look if you're after a booming speaker with top notch sound, a focus on bass and a huge battery life - it can easily power any of...
The original UE Boom was one of the most impressive Bluetooth speakers we've seen, combining portability with huge sound, and now its bigger brother, the Megaboom, has landed; It's even louder but is almost twice the size.
Logitech hasn't strayed too far away from a winning formula with its latest Megaboom, and there's not too much to complain about; The price tag is our biggest complaint though, and at £249.99, the Megaboom towers over many of its peers for cost alone, not least its £170 sibling.
I purchased this for my daughters birthday - she loves it :-) takes it with her everywhere. she pulled it out of the box and then switched it on and used it straight away - no charging, reading manuals, etc.
Bought one some months ago and for what it is, a truly portable bluetooth rechargeable speaker, I could not expect more. Use for classical music and jazz it in different places in the garden and even when traveling. It has surprised me how long a charge lasts!
If you're willing to pay for the latest and greatest, the Megaboom is an impressive follow-up.

Thinking to buy a premium Bluetooth speaker? Ultimate Ears Megaboom is the one to look forward to.
This is easily the best speaker I have ever heard/owned, yes the price tag is expensive but it is worth it.. it matches my stereo with sound and bass, BUT there is a common fault with these where it won't charge, mine has this fault so I will be sending this one back and getting another one.
If you've been shopping for a Bluetooth speaker for a while now, you already know there are plenty of cheaper options available. But unless you're looking at the UE MEGABOOM's little sibling, you'll be hard-pressed to find this impressive breadth of functionality and spark in speakers even twice its...
Sounds Great; Robust Design; Waterproof and smooth tonal balance across the frequency spectrum
