I rarely get a chance to see an Apple device as they do not seem interested in UK journalists. So it is nice when a telecoms company offer one for review. It looks very smart and while it uses much the same system to turn on you are met with a wall of permissions just to get to the Home screen.

I upgraded from the iPhone 7 Plus, expecting a major upgrade. For the most part, I've been happy with the phone, but it's still not perfect. Pros: Screen size and resolution are great. The phone is very quick to load apps, leaving my 7+ in the dust. The quick charging feature is awesome.

The 11 Pro Max is a great phone thanks to tremendous battery life, a camera array that’s as versatile as anything else on the market and a big screen that makes it a joy to play games on.
