All I wanted and then some!

MORE POWER! I took this out of the box, attached the 2x doubler, put it right to the test. I can't believe that I am getting really fun images without using a tripod or monopod. I am trying to keep the shutter speed up, but I have gotten great results as low as 1/25th sec.

Super sharp and well stabilized.

Lens was well packed and arrived in perfect condition. It is very sharp, even better than I expected. IS works very well even at the maximum FL of 400mm. I look forward to using it this summer for marine photos.

Fuji XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR Review

This is an in-depth review of Fujifilm's XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR Lens. The lens was released in early 2016 and is Fuji's longest focal length lens and only super-telephoto zoom in its lens lineup at this time.

One and only wildlife lens for Fuji X system

Bought this a few months back and for some reason my review disappeared. Anyhow, this is the one and only wildlife lens for the Fuji X system. Yes its big for mirrorless, yes its plastic in parts, but IQ is surprisingly good even with the 1.4TC.

Fujinon XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR

I shot my last professional motorsports event of the year with this lens on an X-T2 with Vertical Power Booster Grip, and it and the camera body exceeded my expectations. At "working apertures" f/5.6 to f/14, and up to 350 mm, this lens is VERY sharp. Also very fast AF.
Pros:
  • Excellent image quality and very fast AF on an X-T2
  • Excellent reach for sports including motorsports
  • This lens is MUCH better in every respect, most notably image quality
  • than the original Canon 100-400 L IS
Cons:
  • The only con I can list is it would be nice to be able to lock the zoom at any focal length so the lens barrel does not rack out to full length when I walk from corner to corner ar the racetrack

Fujinon XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR - Review / Test

The Fujinon XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR impressed me quite a bit - not only in the lab but also in the real life. Honestly I was almost about to purchase the lens from the rental company (but I kept my sanity). The center sharpness is very high throughout the zoom range.

Fujifilm Fujinon XF 100-400mm f/4-5.5.6 R LM OIS WR Lens - BRAND NEW review

As the only lens in Fuji's lineup that reaches as long as it does, this is a case of if you need a lens to do this, you really don't have any other brand-name choices. Fortunately, it's a capable performer, and I have no doubt Fuji will sell a lot of these lenses.

Excellent Fujinon Zoom

I had been looking forward to getting this lens and was keeping an eye on the price. I was frankly a bit surprised when I saw it advertised on Amazon at the cheapest price when I was ready to buy, but being a Prime member I saw this as a bit of a bonus.
