Fujifilm Fujinon XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR Review
The Fujifilm Fujinon XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR is a standout telephoto lens, but one that won't balance well on smaller cameras. Fujifilm's mirrorless camera system has a very strong lineup of lenses behind it, ranging from the ultra-wide zoom Fujinon XF 10-24mm F4 R OIS ($895.00 at Amazon) all the way up to the Fujinon XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR ($1,899), a telephoto beast that is sure to make wildlife and sports photographers very happy. It's an excellent lens from an optical standpoint, but one that's surprisingly large when you consider that it's matched with a mirrorless system that utilizes the APS-C sensor size. But it will pair well with Fuji's pro X-T1 ($1,299.00 at Amazon) body, and it's overall performance makes it an Editors' Choice. DesignWhen I first saw the 100-400mm I was shocked at its size and heft. It measures 8.3 by 3.7 inches (HD), weighs about 3 pounds, and supports 77mm front filters. It's bigger than the Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM ($2,199.00 at Adorama) (7.6 by 3.7 inches, 3.6 pounds), a lens that covers a full-frame SLR sensor. When you pair the Canon zoom wi...- Superb optics

Excellent Fujinon Zoom
I had been looking forward to getting this lens and was keeping an eye on the price. I was frankly a bit surprised when I saw it advertised on Amazon at the cheapest price when I was ready to buy, but being a Prime member I saw this as a bit of a bonus.
Fujifilm Fujinon XF 100-400mm f/4-5.5.6 R LM OIS WR Lens - BRAND NEW review
As the only lens in Fuji's lineup that reaches as long as it does, this is a case of if you need a lens to do this, you really don't have any other brand-name choices. Fortunately, it's a capable performer, and I have no doubt Fuji will sell a lot of these lenses.
Fujinon XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR - Review / Test
The Fujinon XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR impressed me quite a bit - not only in the lab but also in the real life. Honestly I was almost about to purchase the lens from the rental company (but I kept my sanity). The center sharpness is very high throughout the zoom range.
Fujinon XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR
I shot my last professional motorsports event of the year with this lens on an X-T2 with Vertical Power Booster Grip, and it and the camera body exceeded my expectations. At "working apertures" f/5.6 to f/14, and up to 350 mm, this lens is VERY sharp. Also very fast AF.- Excellent image quality and very fast AF on an X-T2
- Excellent reach for sports including motorsports
- This lens is MUCH better in every respect, most notably image quality
- than the original Canon 100-400 L IS
- The only con I can list is it would be nice to be able to lock the zoom at any focal length so the lens barrel does not rack out to full length when I walk from corner to corner ar the racetrack
One and only wildlife lens for Fuji X system
Bought this a few months back and for some reason my review disappeared. Anyhow, this is the one and only wildlife lens for the Fuji X system. Yes its big for mirrorless, yes its plastic in parts, but IQ is surprisingly good even with the 1.4TC.
