Terrible Software, does not function as a stand-alone device
I purchased this scanner to upgrade a fi-6130 desktop scanner at a medical practice. Unfortunately, this scanner is so outrageously cumbersome that it's of no value to any business. For example, you must have an LDAP server to log in as a "user" to scan. What if you don't have an LDAP server?

Great Scanner
Pros:
- I have a client who purchased 3 of the older kinds and then went to buy a 4th, but the older models were gone
- So we picked up one of these
- These are great scanners
- They are pricey but if your business goes through a lot of paper and needs digital copies, this is great.
Cons:
- Its not free
