Excellent Stand-Alone Scanner for use on Network
One of the ScanSnap screens is installed slightly crooked. The user did not notice it; and functionality is not hindered in any way.
Pros:
- Due to the way we run our network, I needed a stand alone scanner that could save directly to a network drive
- I did not want a scanner that required pairing with a computer in order to use it
- The ScanSnap N1800 met those requirements, so we purchase our first one in Sep 2013.
Cons:
- I set up 2 of these scanners successfully so far
- however, I do agree with others that the menus are a little confusing. I do plan to buy more of these scanners though, so I don't consider this a serious problem.

Generally Awful Experience
This device had my hopes high, yet dashed them at pretty much every turn. I purchased one of these to provide my users more network scanners without deploying more multifunction workgroup printers. The menu system is cumbersome to put it gently.

Fujitsu ScanSnap N1800 review
A touchscreen network scanner might sound like a gimmick, but it's a surprisingly useful business tool as Simon Handby finds out in our review.
