Need to replace the consumables a lot, which can get expensive. Otherwise, a great product that fits our small business' needs.

I'd highly recommend.
Trouble free scanners so far.....I have fourteen 5000 and 7000 (almost identical to each other) units mostly in service over one year.

HP ScanJet Enterprise 7000 S2 Sheet-Feed Scanner
The HP ScanJet Enterprise 7000 S2 Sheet-Feed Scanner is blazingly fast at scanning to image PDF files, but turned in a more mortal speed in scanning to searchable PDFs.
Pros:
- Very fast in scanning to PDF image files
- Good software selection
- LCD for selecting scan profiles
Cons:
- Application software must be installed separately
- Relatively slow in scanning to searchable PDF

THE BEST!!
Why can't all the HP document scanners work this well. The 8000 and 5000 series of scanner HP makes are horrible at document feeding. The motor in the ADF on the 8000's tends to go out and the PSU also tends to burn out.
Pros:
- It works and it works VERY well
- It doesn't jamb for one
- If you do things like scan documents that have say a check taped to the paper you have to make sure to uncheck Multiipic
- It will otherwise detect the difference in friction and interpret that as a jamb as all other HP document feeders will.
