Nothing Phone 2a review: a standout budget Android
The Nothing Phone 2a is a solid entry into the budget phone market that manages to stand out from an otherwise often dull crowd with an interesting design and fun software. You get a lot of phone for the money, with a big and crisp display, long battery life, solid performance and a design that...- Pros: interesting design with glyph lights, good screen, decent performance, long battery life, slick Android 14 software, premium look feel at budget price, good fingerprint scanner, splash resistant.
- Cons: no optical zoom camera, only four years of security updates, camera not best in class, plastic back scratches easily.
Nothing Phone (2a) Dual SIM 5G (12GB RAM, 256GB, Milk) - Brand New review
On paper, the Phone 2a has pretty much everything I look for in a good budget device. It’s got a solid build including IP54 water resistance, a bright screen and excellent battery life.
Nothing Phone (2a) (Review Nothing Phone (2a))
A midrange phone for Nothing fans only- Affordable, Premium design with cool accent lighting, Excellent cameras with effective video stabilization, Competitive battery life
- Limited 5G support, Slow mobile network speeds, Easily marred by fingerprints and dust, Not readily available in the US
Nothing Phone 2a review: Distinctive design meets mid-range magic
An affordable and reliable phone with an eye-catching design and a clean OS, the Nothing Phone 2a is a solid mid-range choice. It offers a crisp display, decent performance, and great battery life; proving it’s more than just an update on the original Nothing Phone 1.- Competitive price
- Sleek, stylized OS
- Unique look
- Mild step up from Phone 1
- No remarkable features
- Scaled-back Glyph lighting system
The Nothing Phone 2a is the best cheap phone I’ve reviewed in ages
“The Nothing Phone 2a's low price, fun design, colorful photos, strong performance, and masses of customization make it a brilliant buy.”- Glyph Lights are fun, Customizable software, Bright screen, Good speakers, Colorful, social-friendly camera
- Confusing two-model lineup, No wireless charging, Battery life is only average
Nothing Phone (2a) review: cheap phone champion
The Nothing Phone (2a) has got pretty much everything going for it – especially when considering the competition at this price point – as there's no major downfall in its day-to-day fluidity, battery life longevity, or overall performance.- Competitively priced against key Google and Samsung rivals, Maintains brand's Glyphs lighting and design uniqueness, Decent power and battery life
- Fingerprints and dust magnetism limit plastic rear's appeal, That camera bump won't be seen as 'cute' by all, No lower-positioned Glyph light
Nothing Phone (2a)
The Nothing Phone (2a) might have a flashy design, but its core appeal is how well balanced it is for the money. Build quality, performance, battery life, display and camera are all reassuringly solid, while Phone (2a)’s eye-catching UI and Glyph system offer an extra sprinkling of seasoning.- Design and UI both stylish and solid, Smooth performance, Strong battery life
- Nothing OS 2.5 UI embellishments could run deeper, No wireless charging, Glyph system significantly stripped back
Nothing Phone 2a review: back to basics review
- Distictive new take on Nothing’s signature styling
- Solid performance and consistently great battery life
- Very capable cameras for an affordable phone
- A few features haven’t carried across from Phone 1
- Simplified Glyph lights don’t have quite the same impact
