OM System Tough TG-7 Review
The OM System Tough TG-7 is never going to beat even an entry-level mirrorless camera on image performance (although its macro shooting is fantastic), but its durable and waterproof design means it can operate in places and situations that would destroy most electronic devices.
Pros:
- Compact and extremely rugged, Impressive macro mode
Cons:
- Small buttons, GPS drains battery life quickly

OM System Tough TG-7 review: a solid outdoor companion
The OM System Tough TG-7 is a great grab-and-go compact that you can take pretty much anywhere. Although it's not a huge improvement over the TG-6, the scene modes are plentiful, and allow even beginners to capture good images. I found it very freeing to use a camera that can withstand knocks and splashes when exploring the great outdoors, and I was surprised by the TG-7's versatility. Whether you want to photograph family vacations, rugged adventures, flora and fauna, or construction sites, the TG-7 is practical yet almost fun, with a hardy design that won't hold you back.
Pros:
- Bright f/2 aperture at widest zoom
- GPS log and field sensors
- Durable build but pocket-friendly
Cons:
- Rear LCD isn't a touchscreen
- Image quality is underwhelming
- Not a major upgrade over the TG-6

Olympus Tough TG-6 Review: A Durable Point-and-Shoot Camera
The latest pocket camera from Olympus is a go-anywhere device that soars where smartphones crash.
Pros:
- Excellent image quality for small camera. Support for RAW images. Bright rear LCD. Wide range of accessories to build out a full underwater kit. Durable design that's nearly everything-proof.
Cons:
- Menu system is confusing and important settings are difficult to find. Rear screen protector scratches easily. Accessories are great, but the costs add up.
