Standard pokemon, but runs like garbage.

This game feels like a ubisoft openworld, where it marks everything on the map from the get go and you spend the whole time running from waypoint to waypoint to fill in the map icons. Open world is just being used as an excuse to be lazy with the level/map/encounter design. Then there is the terrible frame rates, animations and performance. This game does NOT run well. Design decisions like removing the ability to turn off battle animations or have set battle style, TMs are back to single use items, but it's ok because you can craft them with the poorly implemented crafting system… I mean there are some quality of life improvements and if this game wasn't a rushed hot mess it could've been a solid entry getting a 4/5 but the problems are too large to be given a pass on.

Has potential. Let down by many flaws.

Frame rates – terrible Clipping – it happens Memory leaks – absolutely Pokémon designs – ummmmmmm some are ok. Story – neat Has good potential but is let down by poor performance. Wait until they have patched it.

Love this game, I highly recommend it. Game play is easy to understand and pokemon look awesome
