Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS II review
The Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS II is an impressive upgrade on its predecessor in terms of overall image quality, speed of autofocus and, most impressively, the massive reduction in weight of 435g. This makes it the lightest lens of its kind currently available. As a workhorse lens, it will undoubtedly be a hit with professionals, though that does mean it comes with a hefty price tag.
Pros:
- Excellent levels of sharpness
- Lightweight for this type of lens
- Fast and positive autofocus
Cons:
- Vignetting at f/2.8
- Larger than the FE 70-200mm f/4
- Expensive

Sony FE 70-200mm F2.8 GM M2 Lens - Brand New review
Even taking into account weak performance against bright light, the new Sony lens should be called outstanding. It provides a sensational image quality at every focal lenth and practically across the frame. All other optical aberrations are corrected in an exemplary manner.

- solid, shapely, lightweight, and weather-sealed casing,, sensational image quality in the frame centre,, excellent image quality on the edge of the APS-C sensor,, very good image quality on the edge of full frame,, sensible correction of longitudinal chromatic aberration,, negligible lateral...
Cons:
- very weak performance against bright sources of light,, noticeable vignetting on full frame.
